Vocational Training for Manufacturing Large Machinery Using Precision Line & End Boring

Portable precision line boring and end boring
can duplicate much of the work
now being done on milling machines and boring mills.
You will attain a high degree of precision machining
holding tolerances of +/- .0005".
Build your own heavy duty hydraulic equipment.
Our book, videos and blueprints will teach you
precision line boring and end boring.

The Line Boring Book with a set of 50 blueprints and instructional videos tells you where to purchase the parts and how to build and set up a powerful and versatile hydraulic boring machine. Chip removal of up to half an inch per side is due to the innovation, rigidity and versaltility of hydraulic power. Your skilled welders, mechanics and machinists can follow this course to become efficient in all aspects of line-boring.

This portable hydraulic power supply unit has 18 horsepower but from 10-25 HP can be used, depending on ultimate usage and need. Blueprints for this system are detailed in the 50 Blueprint Set that comes with The Line Boring Book. This hydraulic power supply unit can be purchased from an American manufacturer at a price of around $6500 or follow the blueprints and build your own for about half that price.

This pumping system remains in the truck parked 100 feet away from the actual work being done.

Example of New Manufacturing and Installation:
work performed for Remco Hydraulics, Inc. and The State of California
Feather River Projects - 1966

Remco Hydraulics manufactured some of the worlds largest hydraulic cylinders. This job called for line-boring the flanges on two 32" inside diameter hydraulic cylinders that were each 45 feet long. The cylinders were made in 3-15 foot sections bolted together utilizing - 32 = holes machined in each of the flanges. Four of the flanged holes were to be precision machined and inter-locked together with dowel-pinned-bodied threaded bolts to lock each section together.

We were contracted to design a machine to bore 16 holes (with 1 13/16" inside diameter) with a tolerance of +/- .00075" X 23" long each. We designed a special boring machine that would allow these bores to be machined in a space of 2 5/16" (between the outside radius of the wall of the hydraulic cylinder and the center of the machined bore). This very difficult task worked very well using my machine.

The State of California contracted me to line bore these two assembled 45 foot hydraulic cylinders in place on location at the Oroville Dam site in Northern California (California's famous Feather River Project). These cylinders are still in used today to control the flow of water to the hydro-electric power plant.

This self teaching course will pay for itself in one or two days of new manufacture line-boring and will save you tens of thousands of dollars if you build your own heavy-duty line boring machines and tooling.
